Troubleshooting: on-demand video (viewing)

Issues with on-demand videos can usually be resolved with the following steps:

  • Ensure the video has either been purchased, is actively rented, or there is an active subscription for on-demand videos.
  • Use Google Chrome as your browser and ensure you have the latest version installed
  • Refresh your browser and/or restart your device
  • Check your internet speed using Speedtest. We recommend a download speed of at least 3-5 Megabits per second. When internet speeds drop off or are insufficient, picture quality may be of a lower resolution or may temporarily pause while the video buffers. Our video player will tailor the streaming quality to your internet speed to maximise your image quality whilst minimising buffer interruptions.
  • Disable any DNS, VPN or proxy services that may slow streaming. If you are on a mobile/cellular network, speeds may be slower than that of cable internet.

Many public networks (hotels, offices, etc) have limited internet speeds and may block or slow streaming services. If you are on a public network, you can check with the network administrator if you are having issues with streaming.

Further support for network issues may be available with your operating system provider (Windows, iOS, Android, etc) or device manufacturer.
