Recommended Stripe settings

For an optimal integration, it is recommended that you do not adjust any Stripe settings where they relate to Amodo. In some situations, Amodo may be required to override certain settings to ensure the integrity of the platform.

If you update any settings, please note the following…

In the event of a failed subscription payment by a member:

  • After a failed payment for member subscriptions, Amodo provides a 7 day grace period in which it attempts to retry the charge. After the grace period, the subscription will automatically cancel even when the custom retry schedule is set to a longer period and regardless of any change to the subscription status option.
  • Stripe allows you to toggle on the option to send customer emails when a card payment fails on a subscription. In this scenario, Amodo already notifies the member so it is best to ensure this toggle remains off in Stripe to avoid duplication.

In the event of a disputed subscription payment by a member:

  • It is recommended that you leave the subscription overdue or to cancel the subscription at the end of the period.
  • In the event that you leave the subscription overdue, please note that Amodo will update the subscription to cancel at the end of the period in any event.
  • If you choose to cancel the subscription immediately without prorating, this will occur although if you happen to resolve the issue before the end of the period, it will not be possible for the member to reinstate the subscription.
