Negative balance in Stripe

Your Stripe account may be negative when refunds, disputes, or fees exceed the available balance. When this happens, Stripe automatically initiates an account debit from your bank account for the amount owed. As this may take 2 business days, you may be able to add funds to your Stripe account from the Stripe dashboard instead.

When your Stripe account is negative, any refunds issued (including refunds when a member cancels a booking) will go into a pending status until funds have been added.

It is recommended that you clear any negative balance immediately to avoid any disputes or failed refunds.

You can reduce the chances of a negative balance by increasing the payout schedule in your Stripe dashboard (eg from daily to weekly) so that you accrue a larger balance.
