Live streams: One way vs multi way (hosted on Amodo)

When hosting your live stream through Amodo, you have the option to host a one way or multi way stream.

A one way stream is a broadcast where all attendees can see and/or hear you but they are unable to see each other (and you are unable to see them).

A multi way stream is where you and all attendees can see and/or hear each other.

One way stream features:

  • Mute / unmute your own audio / video
  • Attendees list with checkmarks next to those currently viewing the stream.

Multiway stream features:

  • Mute / unmute your own audio / video
  • Mute the audio / video of an attendee (or all attendees)
  • Attendees can mute / unmute their own audio / video
  • Attendees can virtually raise / lower their hand (via the control menu). When an attendee's hand is raised, an icon will appear on their tile. Both you and/or the attendee can lower their (virtual) hand.
  • Pin an attendee to enlarge their video feed on your screen (this does not change what other attendees see and you (as the host) will always be the primary video feed).
